Short Biography

I'm currently running my own software company called BetterCode GmbH. And the name is exactly what we do. Writing better code than our competition. I donít know how it happened, but in our daily work we focus on building applications for financial services and stock trading companies. You know, the need-to-be-real-time-bullet-proof-fancy-looking stuff that nobody else dares to build.

When I'm not digging deep in or writing awesome code, I usually do slacklining, rock climbing, explore Europe with my van Urli or hunt new exiting projects. Due to my particular interests in sports and exercise we currently build a page to compare fitness gyms.

Well, yes, i also socialize and spent time with my friends in Hamburg, Germany.

Feel free to contacty me anytime via email: weser@[my company url]

Before i started my own company, i had a live in academia. I did my PhD in the Technical Aspects of Multimodal Systems Group (TAMS), Department of Informatics of University of Hamburg. There I received also my Diploma degree in Informatics in 2006. During my PhD program i studied more than seven month in China, most of the time at the Tsinghua University in Beijing. Ny research focused on Multisensory Memory Representation of Robot Actions, high level Robot Control and Action Planning.†

Private interests

As you certainly know, my research interests are based on issues surrounding Intelligent Machines - at the junction between Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. However, I am a human beeing, so I have other desires as well ;)

Climbing

To ballance my life I do a lot of sports , in particular I do climbing. Climbing is more than just exercise, it is both a physical and mental challenge, it is being one with the nature and it is just hanging around with friends... Good friends... In the same way you have to rely on your own strength you have to rely on your belayer.

Web design

The first page I designed is the page of a the salon du bloc, my local boulder gym. Bouldering is the art of climbing really hard moves at heights that you can easily jump of. Currently i have other web-projects such as the new boulder gym FlasHH or a page to compare fitnessstudios in Hamburg.
